( Read more... ) As for some nerdy shit, I'm still playing ffxi. Dunno for how much longer, tho. My LS is dead. I have no one to play with. I am crafting and that's about all. I tried to seek on mnk last night and wound up in a party of 5 that never found a 6th... after searching for a tank for over an hour. Weee.

Hmm. I'm too busy right now to really start on a game. I'm still playing Chocobo Tales for the DS and Dissidia on the PSP.

I blew over $400 on Christmas presents this year. Stupid, I know. I'll be cheap next year or something. I'm not even Christian, I just like giving gifts... But I hate winding up getting gift cards for people because I gotta get them something, and I don't wanna get them something they won't like. My nieces, for example. I try not to get them toys anymore. They're 9 and 11 and have more toys than they will ever play with. I try to go with arts and crafts stuff. The older one has taken a liking to reading, so I was going to get her some books... but then I waffled on that because I wasn't sure what kind of books she likes. So, I got her a Barnes and Noble gift card. I got the younger one this massive art set (tons of water colors, colored pencils, pastels, and all that jazz), because I hear she likes to draw and that sort of thing. I also got her a smaller gift card, so she can go shopping with her sister and maybe share some books. I only see them once a year despite them living in the same city. I'm a shitty aunt, ne?

I wound up getting my sister a gift card this year (and that's what she got me, too), cuz I haven't a clue if she ever likes the gifts I get her (and I suspect she feels the same way). My mom always gets a gift card. She never likes anything you buy for her, so it's a wasted effort if you try because she'll just return it. My dad's much easier. He'd be happy with socks and underwear, but I got him some pretty cool loot, I think.

Ahhh... after some more tea and some piddling around, I think I'll be able to go to bed now. I'm not looking forward to work (not that I ever am). Last Saturday before Christmas. The horror THE HORRORRRRRRRRRRRR. I'm gonna play it safe tomorrow and only eat soup. I hope the roads aren't too icy in the morning. It's still snowing/sleeting right now. >.
